TIN is a queer Australian pop singer songwriter blazing his way through the UK. Inspired by the boy bands and girl groups of the noughties
How did you get into doing music?
When I was eight, my brother asked my to record 2 Become 1 with him on a cassette tape and that was the beginning of me knowing that I could sing! From there I started singing in school and was writing my own songs for competitions by high school.
How would you describe your music?
The pop emotion of Troye Sivan meets the provocative production of The Weeknd

In your videos and lyrics you don't shy away from your sexuality. Is that important?
As a queer artist, it's important to me that I normalise queer culture in pop music. THat said, it's not the be all and end all to what I can do but it definitely fills me with pride and purpose when I'm filling the screen with boys kissing!
In your photos and videos you get your kit off a lot. Have you always been comfortable with your body?
I actually used to be very self conscious of my body! I grew up being the chubby kid and when it melted away during puberty, I would still see myself as that. Only when I moved to London in 2016 did that community start to encourage the self love that I try to embody now.

Are you single or taken?
Taken - my producer is also my husband Lostchild. Go check out his awesome music!
When you are not doing music what other things do you like to do?
I love to party (and should slow down really) but aside from that, I've a passion for baking as I love to eat desserts.

You're an Aussie singer in London - where do you prefer the UK or Australia?
1000000% the UK. I'd say part of it is that I grew up in Australia and I've so many skeletons there, but when I moved to the UK, the diversity in culture there helped me learn to actually love myself in a way that I don't think the outdated culture in Australia would. And of course there are ample opportunities for me to perform and express my music.
What are your plans for the rest of 2022?
I've a single to release for each month (I'm very excited about Christmas), and something big brewing to be dropped at the end of the year ;)
